I'm gonna ease back into this blogging thing slowly, but lets just say I've made some technological discoveries that should increase my blogging frequency. More about that later though.
For now all I have to say is this:
To the owners of the house at 9022 30th St.,
Thank you. Thank you for verbally accepting what was our tippy-top offer on your cute little two bedroom rambler and making us literally jump up and down with disbelief and excitement and then choose to back out of the offer five hours later. Thank you for crushing our faith in decency. I know you had every right to do so, but you yourselves must have also known that somewhere, two twenty-something first time home buyers would got to bed that night close to tears.
I hope the extra $5000 was worth the price of your word.

Oh shit! I'm so sorry that happened to you guys. :(
That totally sucks. I'm really sorry that the deal fell through. They should have been happy to get an offer in such a tough housing market. Hopefully the perfect house will come along at an even better price.
Hope to see you blogging more soon!
That blows. I'm sorry it happened. But thank you for the address. Anyone up for a Seattle EggFest?
That totally sucks. As if buying a home isn't stressful enough, then you have people like that.
We bought a house last year. With the first house, we got hit with the stipulation AFTER the bid that they needed to be in the house until the end of June. It was April.
We couldn't do that. We were moving out of our town house in May.
As far as I know...they still haven't sold the house..and it's a year later. Karma sucks
I will cut them.
Don't mess with a member of my mafia, fuckos.
Hi All - Thanks for the kind words. Kj and I know we're supposed to have tough skins through all this, but it's hard when you fall for a house.
P.S. No eggings or cuttings or egg cuttings will be necessary, but the offers are appreciated.
Housing is always a bitch. There is always a better house out there waiting
I normally try to watch my mouth here, since this is a family blog and all, but fuck those dickheads. Seriously.
Awww, that sucks. Buying a house is such a huge thing emotionally, it's horrible when something like that happens.
I'll keep my eye out in our neighborhood (if you wanna live in the Central District).
I can't even imagine if that had happened to us. Fuck them, the bastards.
It probably wasn't as nice as you thought. They will have had stains under rugs and leaky taps and something nasty behind the radiator that you wouldn't find for months.
It happened to us once with what we thought was the perfect house. Then a few weeks later another even more'perfect house' that was originally out of our budget got reduced and we bought that one instead. We were so happy we got shat on!
Fingers crossed it's the same for you.
I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. It's like being dumped. Terrible. It just means that there's something better out there for you. You'll find it.
We're still in selling hell and our house is fabulous. I really think you should move here. ;-)
Buddy, you could come over to the East Side. The water's fine and it's not nearly as yuppie as people think. In fact, I considered slashing some SUV tires the other day. How bad ass is that?
Daphne
Dickheads.
What a big fat mo-fo bummer. Really. That sucks. We're in the middle of trying to close on a condo ... and we're working with emotionally unstable sellers ... and well, it really really sucks. Keep your chins up - there will be something else to call your own!
Damn. That's harsh. Want me to send a nasty-lawyer-letter?
