This is a cry for help.
Friends, you have seen me through my many addictions. Tater tot binges that left me covered in a fine film of grease. Chapstick episodes that would shame even Angelina Jolie. Bouts of Google obsession that ended up in restraining orders. But nothing has ever come close to being this bad.
KJ and I made the fateful decision last Tuesday to give Netflix a try. Opting for the 2 DVD selection we thought we'd start with one movie and one TV series that way we could finish the movie first and get the next DVD of the television series by the time we had finished the first. I see now that this was foolish thinking...foolish because the series we decided to check out was Lost.
OhmyGodthatshitislikefuckingcrackinmyveins!!!!!!1!111!!! We managed to stretch the first four episodes until Saturday, but now we seriously jonesing for another taste. Netflix is playing with our emotions too. They managed to get us the first DVD's in 46 hours, but these second ones...ya...they're taking their sweet ass time (49 hrs and counting you DVD pimping bastards!!!).
Seriously, I gotta know what happens. How the hell did Locke's legs get fixed?? What is Kate's sinister crime?? WHY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ARE THERE POLAR BEARS ON THE ISLAND!?!?!?!?!
:: weeping :: I'm sorry you have to see me like this. I thought I could tame this tiger, but now I've nothing left. Not even my pride.
Learn from my mistake children, don't commit to this most vicious of vices for it is a cruel mistress.

lost is the best show on earth!!!! i got addicted to it too....took me 10 days to watch out all the seasons...10 thrilling sleepless days...wow i need to watch it again before the new season starts.....i'm so excited for u guys yay!!!
duuuuuuude you know that i had this SAME problem a year and a half ago. i had just moved here and was job hunting so i had too much free time on my hands. a new friend introduced me to the drug known as LOST and i . . . well i lost it. i fully understand. i even went to numerous rental places and opened an account just so i could get my fix!
one thing you should know now, early on, is that answers come and answers go with this show. you'll always be wondering!
You know that normally I am *so* all about you but it's hard to think about the Churro Meister when I have Matt Fox staring at me so dreamily from the page. Wait, let me kiss my screen...
Okay, back!
No matter what the naysayrs erm...say, I totally love LOST and am hooked until it ends. By the way, when I get Netflix TV shows, I become so bad that I tend to "up my membership" to more at a time so I don't have to wait. God, I love addiction.
I loved the first season of LOST, and still consider it to be some of the best television ever aired. Season two got way off track very early on, and I stopped watching the show then and there. On occasion I'll catch a new episode... only to end up very glad I'm not still watching. Sad, really. :-(
Don't get your addictions confused. You're not addicted to Lost, because you know there's an end to it. You are becoming addicted to NETFLIX and it's an evil addiction. I, too, started with the easy, cheap 2-disc subscription. Now, a mere 18 months later, I'm already up to the 4-disc level and sometimes even that's not enough. Help me!!!!
oh you expect the show to reveal answers to those questions? that's cute.
you are soooo 2004
I completely understand and, though this may be bad news, it doesn't get easier. With each episode you just get sucked farther and farther in.
You also develop a deep desire to molest Sawyer... at least I did...
@ Anon: So you're saying I should stay the course...
@ Sizzle: Oh man, talk about the best/worst time to get hooked on this smack. Thank god you have mad job skills.
@ Hilly: You would choose HIM over ME!?!?! Okay, good point, I'd choose his stubled sexiness over me too. :)
@ Dave2: You're like the guy who tried cocaine once and simply said "meh, could use more zing."
@ Nilsa: YOU'RE RIGHT!!! Netflix is just enabling me. So it's not even really my fault...I'm just a victim. Phew, for a while there I wasn't sure I could reason this away.
@ Briana: Don't take this away from me...it's like all I've got... ::soft weeping::
@ SRH: Hey, at least I'm not just now discovering Dynasty or something.
@ Bre: So you're saying the strange fluttering sensations I get in my heart region when Sawyer starts gettin' all crazy like...that's normal? Good, 'cause I really needed validation on that. :)
Lost is the only show I watch every single time it is on. It is also the only show that makes me furious with the tv. Nothing is ever answered completely, and yet I just can not stop watching it because I have to know!!!!
I have been lurking for quite a while, but Hilly's award made me decide to delurk.
@ radioactive girl: Everyone keeps telling that the show will only keep stringing me along like a bad boyfriend, but I just can't stop.
Glad you de-lurked. :)
Highly addictive show, yeah. Can't wait for it to start back up in a couple of weeks.
Are you all caught up yet?
